The CPDW Inc Code of Ethics sets out the core professional values and welfare principles expected of members of Christchurch Professional Dog Walkers Incorporated.

CPDW Inc Code of Conduct — Introduction
The Christchurch Professional Dog Walkers Incorporated (CPDW Inc) Code of Conduct outlines the expected professional behaviour, welfare standards, and public safety responsibilities of its members when handling dogs in public and private settings.
This Code is designed to promote responsible dog management, humane handling, and informed decision-making grounded in canine behaviour science, learning theory, and New Zealand animal welfare legislation.
The Code of Conduct applies to CPDW Inc members only and functions as an internal professional standards framework. It does not replace statutory regulation, council bylaws, or legal obligations. Members remain individually responsible for complying with all applicable legislation and local authority requirements.
The Code may be considered supporting information regarding a member’s commitment to professional practice and continuing education.
